My friend

Hello, I will tell you about my friend, I have a very nice friend. Her name is Mayu. I met a her when we were elementaly school students. She is very kind for me. When I was an elementaly school student, I don't have a friend, because I was very shy, so Mayu took me some place, so I could make a some friends. After school, we always backed home together, and I often went to her house after school. Mayu has two sisters, she has one older sister and one younger sister, so we went to park which located near by her house. We enjoyed to many things. For instance, we played tag with her sisters and we playd at hide-and-seek with her sisters. I could enjoy everything with Mayu. But, when we were in the forth grade, she made the move to Tochigi. The Tochigi is very far from Kumamoto. I was very sad and I cryed everyday sinse I heard it. I wrote a letter to Mayu once a month, and she answered my letter as doon as possible. But, I felt lonly. Two years later, Mayu backed to Kumamoto. I was very happy when I heard it. When we were junior high school students, we belonged to same club activiteies. We belonged to table tennis club, but we never play table tennis and we practiced hard every day. When a table tennis tournament, I was paired with Mayu in the table tennis match. We won by many points, I could remember it still. We always together. We entered to same high school, and we were same class while high school life. We had many many memories, and it are very greatful memories. I am student of KGU, Mayu works at golf course, If I had free time, she is busy. I felt lonly. She always lead to right way when I have in a trouble. I am very glad to her, and If she has in a trouble, I will help her. I love her very much.(347words)

I read a book which title is A Fright in the Night. this book is series. I like this book of series, so I will tell you about this story. One day, Biff and Chip went to Gran's house, they will stay at her house for a week. Gran took Biff and Chip outside, Biff found some blackberries and she wanted to pick some blackberries. Gran gave them some plastic bags. She had an idea, she will make some blackberry jam. Then, they backed to home, and they made the blackberry jam. After cooked, Biff and Chip helped Gran light the fire and get some logs. Biff and Chip liked Gran's house, which was small and very old, "Do you have ghosts?" Chip asked Gran. "There are no such things." Gran said him. Gran's house had a big fireplace, they sat by there. Gran made some toast with new jam, It was blackberry jam. Biff drank a cup of tea. Chip played a new game. Then, they went to bedroom, Biff and Chip had to sleep in the same room. They couldn't sleep. Biff had funny idea, she put the sheet over her head, it looks like a ghost, but Chip wasn't surprised. they laughed together. Then, they heard a noise from outside. They looked outside, they were very surprised to look at outside, they saw something, it looks like a ghost. But, it wasn't a ghost, it was a Gran. I have not seen a ghost before, and I really don't like a ghost. (262words)

Chip doesn't like her. Chip was drawing a picture, then, Rosie came to his and she sat next to him. She took the pens and she drew a line on the his picture, so Chip was angry and he scribbled on her picture. Then, She told about it to Mrs May. Mrs May was cross with Chip. Rosie made many bad things, she was a bully, so everyone didn't like her. She called other people nasty names. She called chip a motor mouth, and she called Wilf a parrot face, and she called Biff a toffee nose, and she called Anneena a goody-goody, she called Wilma a dinosaur brain. She was nasty to everyone. For instance, She took away Biff's lunch, and she pulled Anneena's hair, so Wilma tryed to help Anneena, Rosie was smaller than Wilma, but Rosie pushed Wilma. Rosie wanted to see the magic key and she wanted to go to a magic adventre, because she heard about magic key by Chip. The children went to Biff and Chip's house with Rosie, and she took the magic key, but magic key was not glow. When Chip took the magic key, magic key was glow and it took the children on a magic adventure. There was a school playground, so Rosie was angry, and she was cross with Chip. She was nasty to Chip, she told him to Mortor Mouth. Then, the magic key began to glow. Suddenly, her face was change, it looks like Mortor Mouth. Next, her face was change, it looks like a dinosaur brain. Next, her face was change, it looks like a parrot face. Rosie began to cry and she wanted the no more magic adventure, then, the magic key took the children home. Rosie ran home, so the children were pleased. Biff felt a sorry for her. Next day, Chip and Wilma found Rosie, she was in trouble. They helped her. Rosie was glad to Chip and Wilma, then, she wasn't nasty to other people. She learned nobody likes bullies. I think that Chip and Wilma are very kind. I can't be them kindly. (439words)

Essay: Introduction of KGU

Hello, we are Kumamoto Gakuen University students. Our school has some good points and very nice, so we will tell you about our school.

First, we would like to introduce about our campus. If you enter our school from the main gate, you can soon find beautiful trees of ginkgo, maidenhair trees. I recommend you to come in end of autumn to winter. You might be able to see beautiful leaves. We love this view very much.

We have 13 buildings on our campus and they are very nice. The buildings are brick buildings, but you can spend comfortable time during classes. There are too many class rooms, however you don’t need to be afraid to find a class room because the buildings have numbers, which are like names for buildings, and it makes for finding them easier.

Also you can buy very delicious foods from 3 places or more places for your meals. There is the big lunch room, the bakery, and our convenience store. There are also 2 of shops for selling lunch boxes. Those are nice too.

Finally, the place we really want to introduce you to is the library. It is an awesome library because there are 80000 books in there and you can find a book, which you want to look at it, easily. There are AV rooms too so if you have free time and nothing to do, you should go there and watch some movies or listening to music. Because of there are many DVDs and CDs, so you will be able to find a special one and spend a good time. Of course, you must not eat anything, no talking, no cell-phones. You need to have good manners. Addition, you can study in the library by yourself. There are small rooms so you can have your own time in there. There are many places which are very nice, so you can find favorite place in our campus. We really like our campus and we can recommend it to you absolutely.

Next, we want you to know about our circles. There are 111 clubs and circles. Those can be divided into 7 groups.

One of those, the community of circle, has some of events. There are a picnic under the cherry blossoms with freshman in Kumamoto castle, staying all night day with members of the circles, the welcome party of freshman, the festival of music, summer camps, a parade in the city, the sports festival, the school festival, the camps of leaders, and the exhibition.

In spring, we are looking forward to see freshman every year. During the entrance ceremony of KGU, there are many people on our campus, because many students belong to a club or circle, and freshman must belong to some club or circle, so we find freshman and we talk to them about our club or circle. When we were freshman, we were very surprised to look at the scene, but we think that you should become a member of a club or circle.

We have a welcome party for freshman, and we invite other circle’s people and introduce our freshman.

We stay in a camp for the festival of music. It is very interesting. If you come there, you can make many friends, and you can spend a great time there with friends of your circle, so you should come this camp, and you can enjoy the festival of music too.

In June, we hold a festival of music at the prefectural theater, which located next to KGU. Festival of music is very wonderful and interesting, For instance, the circle of music performs before many people, and the presidents show us comic skits, so we take part in the festival of music every year.

Next, we tell you about parade in the city, it is a most memorable event. We walk in the city and we advertise our school festival. We wear handmade costume and we carry a portable shrine.
During the summer vacation, each circles makes costumes and portable shrine, which is very hard, we must go to school every day, but we can enjoy ourselves with friends.

In autumn, we have the sports festival and the school festival, they are very big events, so we are looking forward to this events every year. The sports festival is very interesting, and the school festival is very interesting too. We can enjoy many things, such as many foods, and many events. Each circle makes some food, and it is very delicious, so if you come our school festival, you can enjoy yourself and you will be like our school.

Our school has many good places and nice events, so you can enjoy to school life, we hope to we can enjoy to school life with you next year.

I introduce my university KGU. There are a lot of good place in KGU. I introduce some of my favorite place in KGU. First, introduce bakery. There are a lot of kind of bread in there. I like Yakisoba bread. But not only bread, there are other food. For example, drinks,cup soup, soft cream. There are a lot of table and chair. So, we can eat anything in there and with our friends. We can hear music in there because music is played in there. There are a lot of students in lunch time in there. You should go to there early time.

Second, I introduce library. There are a lot of books in there and many kinds of books in there. There are PC in there. We can use it anytime if you want to use. There are group study rooms in there. You can study with your friends in the room. you can’t speak in the library but you can speak in the room. You can study with talking in the broom. You can also use study space for single. library is so silent and you can study in clumps. You can use library not only study. If you have free time, you can see a movie and listen to music. And that, You can see a movie and listen to music with your friends. There are many kinds of DVD and CD. You can choose what you like among them. You can use library many kinds of purpose.

Third, I introduce school cafeteria. There are a lot of menu in there and all menus are very reasonable. For example, carry, hot dog, udon and more. There are some of menu of the day in there. You can enjoy different menu each day. I like fried shrimp carry the best. I also like soft cream in there. But There are also a lot of students in lunch time same bakery. You should go early time. I introduce Lowson and Maruzen.
There are a lot of things in Lowson. For example, juice, snack, comic and more. There is copier. You can copy anytime. Maruzen is a book store. There are many kind of books. For example, text, comics, magazine and more. You can buy all books 10 % off. Not only books in there. There are stationery and foods.

Finally, I introduce my favorite place in KGU. There are good place in KGU. I think that KGU is good university in Kumamoto. If you interested in that place, You should go there. Maybe You will be like. (1229words)

Hello, I am Miwa. I am 42 years old. I will tell you about myself after graduation. I graduated from the British and American studies department at KGU, and I got a job with a travel agency, which is in Fukuoka, so I began to live alone in Fukuoka city. I never lived alone before. I started to a new life there. I lived in Fukuoka for three years. Luckily, my new life was very interesting for me.

I didn’t feel lonely, because I could enjoy my new life. For instance, I like cooking, so I made a dinner after work. I also like to drink, so I ate dinner and drank a beer every day. A beer is blissful moment for me when I was very tired from working, and I drink a beer even now.

I don’t like housework, because I think that housework was demanding more and more of my time. I respect my mother.

I like to go shopping, so I went to Tenjin and Daimyo every weekend. I sometimes went to Fukuoka to shopping when I was a student, and Fukuoka was very lively city for me, because I think that Fukuoka is most popular place of Kyusyu. I had many good memories in Fukuoka.

Then, I went back to Kumamoto, because I married my boyfriend when we were twenty five. He was a KGU student too. I had a friendship with him since we were students. He is a teacher of an elementary school. He teaches his students to gymnastics. He is very kind to me and our children. I have two children. They are both boys.

I have a nice family, and I very glad of it. I don’t have memories of family in my childhood, so I am very happy now. (308words)

Essay: worst day of my life

I will introduce about the worst day of my life to you. Have you ever entered the hospital? Have you had a chronic illness?


I have had to enter the hospital, because I have a heart disease since I was born. The name of the disease is Ventricular septal defect, so my heartbeat is faster than other people, and I have an irregular pulse. My ventricle has a little hole. If the hole glows, I can’t enjoy my life, with things such as I can’t enjoy sports, and I can’t join gymnastics class. If I run hard or I swim hard, I have hyperventilation syndrome. So I had to have an operation to stop up the little hole.


I entered the Saiseikai hospital. It is very big hospital in Kumamoto. The sick room which I entered the room was a private room, so I felt very scared during the night. I sometime heard a mysterious sound there, so I want to be discharged early. I need to have a catheter examination before the operation. I really don’t like this examination. I cried out when the needle went into my thigh. I asked a hospital nurse to stop for this examination. She laughed at me. I was very ashamed of myself. Then, the examination was finish when I slept deeply, because of the anesthetic.
I didn’t get up for long time, so my mother asked a hospital nurse “When I would get up, I was ashamed of myself again, because a hospital nurse told me about this story.


After examination, I couldn’t move all day long. I couldn’t toss and turn on the bed, and I couldn’t go to the toilet, so a hospital nurse attached a tube to my body. It was very shameful and painful. I couldn’t eat, but my brothers ate hamburgers, French fries, and drank colas at front of me, so I was very angry and hungry!!!


My thigh has a scar from this operation, but I am very fine now, and I go to the hospital once a year. I think that I never want to enter the hospital again. I want to keep my health.

He never gets any mail when he was waiting for the mail at front of his mailbox. It always makes him very unhappy. Because his mailbox is empty when he is check to his mailbox every day. Frog felt sad with Toad. Then Frog struck upon a good idea. And Frog backed to home soon. Frog started to write something on the paper, it was a letter. Frog was writing letter to Toad. Frog ran out of his house when he was finish to write a letter. He asked snail to take this letter to Toad’s house and put it in his mailbox. Then Frog backed Toad’s house, but Toad didn’t wait a letter, he was in house. Frog wants to show him a letter, so he looked out of the window, but there was nobody. Frog encouraged Toad to wait a letter again. But Toad was angry, and Toad thought that the letter is not come to me today. Frog told him “I wrote a letter to you”. Toad and Frog were waiting a letter together on the porch, they were happy. Four days later, snail arrived at Toad’s house and gave him the letter from Frog. In a letter, I am glad that you are my best friend. Toad was very happy when he looked a letter. I like this story very much. I think that it is very wonderful to write a letter to important person. I will tell you about foreign countries. I interested in other countries, because there is many people and various spots, so I want to meet a person from another country and I want to know diffirent cultures. I have been to the foreign countries two times. I went to Nebraska of America six years ago. I stayed at host family's house for two weeks. There is a princess who couldn’t laugh. The king was look for someone who can make her laugh, so they tried to laugh her use by toy. The toy is shape of false teeth. It was very interesting, but Kipper dropped it, and the dog put the false teeth in its mouth, and the dog ran for them. The king ran after the dog, but he fell down and his clothes were dirty. Chip caught the dog and the dog dropped the false teeth. But, the false teeth were broken. Everyone disappointed to could not make her laugh. But, the princess could laugh, when she looked at the king. The king was looks very funny. Everyone could laugh and laugh.

This book’s title is “Mirror Island”. I read this book, because I was interested in a picture of book cover. I will tell you about this story. This story is wonderful story. Chip is a boy, and he drew something. Then, Chip went down the stairs. There were Biff and Wilf and Wilma. They saw the pattern, but they couldn’t understand it. Wilf asked to Chip “What is it?” The pattern was drawn something. Wilma said “It looks like a word.” Chip showed a mirror on the paper. There was a “Chip”. The words were mirror writing. Then, they went to an island use by the magic key. There is beach and Wilma found some footprints on the sand. Wilf found someone who looks at them, so they began to run, because the stranger looks fierce. The stranger ran after them, and he shouted at them to “Stop” and “Comeback”, but they didn’t stop, so he began to cry. He didn’t know that his hair and beard are very long. He looked his face use by Chip’s mirror. He was very surprise and he was terribly shocked at by to look his face. He is Captain Crow. He was alone at Island since ten months and six days. He had a map. The map is treasure map, but it looks strange. There are odd words. Captain Crow and his crew couldn’t find to treasure, so he was deserted by his crew. He showed the map to them. Chip found that the map was written by mirror writing. Then they could read the words on map, so Captain Crow could find the many gold and silver. His dream has come true. I think that Chip is very kind and very clever. I want to go island of treasure by magic key. (300words)

Essay: My hometown introduction

I introduce my hometown to you. I live in Kumamoto in Japan. Kumamoto is part of the Kyushu district. Kumamoto is a very good place. There is fresh air, clean water, and very beautiful nature. Kumamoto has good place. Do you know Mt. Aso? It is famous as the biggest volcano in Japan. Mt. Aso has very big caldera too.
I have lived in Ozu town since I was a child, so my hometown is Ozu town. Ozu town lies to the east of Kumamoto. My hometown has some good points. First, Ozu town is a very beautiful town, and there is lot of flowers during the spring season. We can see many beautiful Azaleas in my town. I think that Shouwa park is very big park, and famous for beautiful Azaleas in my town. The Shouwa park is located near my house, so I sometimes go to there. The azalea is designated as Ozu town’s flower. In the spring, we can enjoy the festival, and the festival’s name is the Azalea festival. It is very fun.
Second, Ozu town is very useful town, Ozu town is a little small, but Ozu town has a shopping mall and some supermarkets, so I usually go to shopping with my mother or my friends, and Ozu town is very near to Aso. Aso is famous for sightseeing in Kumamoto. I often go to Aso on a holiday. I like to drive to Aso. It takes about 30 minutes from Ozu town by car.
Finally, Ozu town is famous for sweet potatoes. My hometown’s sweet potato is very delicious and very sweet. We called it Karaimo in Kumamoto. My grandfather and grandmother lives in Ozu town and they are farmer. They grow sweet potatoes in their very large fields, so I help them when they harvest sweet potato every year, because I can eat baked sweet potato if I help them. I like it very much. I like my hometown very much.
Next, I introduce to you about my second hometown. It is Amakusa in Kumamoto, because my grandfather and grandmother live in Amakusa, so I have lived in Amakusa during summer vacation and winter vacation when I was elementary school student and junior high school student. Amakusa is very nice place. My grandfather and my grandmother’s house is located near the beach, so I always go to beach, and I enjoyed swim with my brothers. There is lot of good memories, so I think that Amakusa is my second hometown.

She cleaned garden because her mother wanted to cut the grass on the garden, but there is mess of apples, so she asked for a pick up the apple. Biff picked up apples. But, some apples are rotten. She put apples in a box and she took it to garbage dump. She met her friends there and they found to strange man. He rode on a horse. He is tradesman, so he sold various things. Biff gave the horse an apple. Horse ate it and began to eat other apples in a box. Then, Biff and her friends were rode on the horse with a man, and horse began to run. He was order horse to stop, but horse couldn’t stop. Suddenly, the horse stopped in a car park, because the horse was sleep. So they couldn’t move. Luckily, he sold everything, because people bought things when people came to see the horse in a car park. Tradesman was delighted to sell everything.
I think that this story is very funny, because the horse was drunk on rotten apples. I never eat rotten apples, and I don’t eat. (222words)

I am not good at English, so I can't write correct English grammar. I couldn't understand English grammar yet. I left agricultural high school, I didn't study English. At agricultural high school, English class is once a week . So I really ashamed to study English when I enterd this university, because I can't cath up class and friends. She is very powerful and active. She has some hobbies. She likes flowers, so she grows flowers, and she likes to go shopping, so we can spend a good time when I go shopping with her. And she likes to play sports, so she belongs to a volleyball team. My older two brother are named Kouta and Kenta. Kouta is 24 years old. He is severe with me, but he always leads to the right way if I am in trouble. Kenta is 22 years old. He is very kind and friendly. I love them. However, we can’t live together, because my parents were divorced when I was junior high school student, so I am living at an apartment with my mother now. And I feel lonely when I back home. There is no one at my house. But I can meet my father once a month, and we have good time. My family is very important me.
